Climate Action

Climate Action
Thanal's Climate Action team (in collaboration with PAN-India) was formed after identifying the need for committed climate action to enhance grassroots understanding of climate resilience in current paradigm, particularly among local communities. Our project areas work towards co-creating systemic shifts, action-based research and behaviour change in societies.
In the current climate-uncertain world, we explore strategic partnerships and innovations with communities to 'think global, act local'.

Findings and Recommendations of the First Climate Resilient Kerala Consultations

Climate Resilient Kerala Rountable Concept note

Second consultation in the Climate Resilient Kerala initiative will once again bring together experts, policy makers and governmental representatives to assess options and opportunities to integrate climate action and disaster risk reduction, particularly from the perspective of women and children in the Kerala Government’s Nava Keralam Mission launched in November 2016. The initiative seeks to address problems faced in four key social sectors, namely, health, education, housing with focus on energy and water, with the help and involvement of local self-governments
