Renske is an graduate who studied International Development and International Affairs. She lives in the Netherlands and is currently preparing for her Master degree. She is very concerned with the environment, sustainability and is particularly interested in social entrepreneurship.
Renske became involved in Zero Waste through an internship with a Nepalese NGO. During this internship, she has followed a Zero Waste Training program facilitated by Thanal. Her activities included organising Zero Waste workshops for communities and building a local network.
She has also worked with Zero Waste Europe to help organise the 2013 Conference for the European Union. In 2014, she has travelled in India and Nepal and visited various organisations in the Zero Waste Himalaya network.
In the future, Renske wants to become more involved in sustainable social entrepreneurship in developing countries and see if it can be supported better from an institutional perspective.
